Manufacturing data (eg. actual cycle time, rejections, setup time, etc.) preferably should be captured online or by manual systems and analyse for trend for a period, at first. During line or cell setup, we would have targetted certain metrics (like ppm, smed, oee, etc.) By way of manual chart or computerised MES, one should propagate the Manufacturing Data to link to these Manufacturing Metrics !
    .
Of course, the next step is to build a QOS (Quality Operating System) or BOS (Business Operating System, similar to Ford Methodology or equivalent. Plot the measurables, quantifiers, trend, corrective/preventive actions with responsibility, final results, etc. on a typcial QOS/BOS 4 Quadrant Chart and continue mapping, team improvement activities until we achieve the expected mark !

Request if you could add up more points or modify above !

We track production “real” vs. “objective” (from standard worksheets) every hour at every cell on boards. This is done directly by hand by the workers at the cell. It’s very visual and every one can see deviations and act in consecuence (problems are described at the boards too). Data is stored by Lean responsables to analyze it (trends, eficciency, parts per operator…). Every cell is studied and efficiency goals assigned as part of their continuous improvement process.

We track production by doing DRM Daily Routine Management……. In Graph We have three objectives…… Target Line, Plan Line and achieved Line……The Gap analysis for Target vs Plan has to be attacked by the Management and the Plan vs actual by Engineers and cell leaders…….in the process we can analysis all objectives such as production, Quality and Machine and Man availability…… You can attack it in 4 angle such as Man Machine Method and Material…(4M Approch)
